Grenada does not differentiate recreational vs commercial drone use. However, both commercial and recreational drone uses are subject to restrictions & a code of conduct.

Can I travel with my drone to Grenada?
✅ Currently, there doesn't seem to be any restrictions on bringing drones within Grenada as long as you have registered your drone ahead with the Royal Grenada Police Force.
🚨 Be aware of the airline you purchase to travel as some main ones will only accept your drone on-board if its batteries are detached & placed in a firecase during travel time. Most airlines will have a battery voltage limit based on the recommendation of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). You can find more info about a specific airline here.
Where can I fly my drone in Grenada?
🚨 We did not find an official fly zone map for drones in Grenada "If you have more information about this, please let us know in the Grenada Drone Discussion Group". Thankfully, app.airmap.io has listed all flight zones in a convenient way showing that the entire island country is into a restricted zone which implies a permission from the Royal Grenada Police Force.

Recreational & Commercial Drone use in Grenada
🚨 You will need a permission to fly your drone in Grenada from the Royal Grenada Police Force. Additionally and once obtained you should fly:
fly at a reasonable height and distance (within sight is usually best practice).
following your drone manufacturer's recommendations of use.
fly away from airport, military and governmental facilities.
your drone must be equipped with a "return to home" function such as the Mavic 2
🚨 Be aware that police force has been given full powers to enforce the above rules... If you hold a permit, carry it with you all the time along your identification papers.

How to obtain a permit to fly my drone in Grenada?

Write to the attention of the Office of Commissioner of Police
Include your flight path and manufacturer's information and personal ID
Send it to the the Royal Grenada Police Force via Facebook Messenger

What do I risk for flying a drone illegally in Grenada?
🚨 The amount & scope of the fine will depend on the nature & severity of your infraction. The judges will also evaluate if you intentionally committed the infraction &/or if you had any commercial purpose during your flight.
