Recreational vs commercial drone use in Georgia
Georgia does not differentiate recreational vs commercial drone use. However, if flying a drone heavier than 250 g, then both commercial and recreational drone uses are subject to restrictions & a code of conduct.
✅ In Georgia, the regulation and control of drone use falls under the Georgia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) & they can be contacted anytime via:

Can I travel with my drone to Georgia?
✅ Currently, there doesn't seem to be any restrictions on bringing drones within Georgia as long as your import is considered as legitimate (generally one drone per person).
🚨 Be aware of the airline you purchase to travel as some main ones will only accept your drone on-board if its batteries are detached & placed in a firecase during travel time. Most airlines will have a battery voltage limit based on the recommendation of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). You can find more info about a specific airline here.

Recreational & Commercial Drone use in Georgia
✅ Good things first, you will not need a permit or a license to fly a drone in Georgia. However if your drone weights between 250 g and 25 kg, you will need to follow a few rules:
fly at a maximum altitude of 122 m & keep your drone in sight at all times.
fly 6 km away from airports, heliports & give priority to all other categories of aircraft. If you see an aircraft during your flight, land immediately.
fly during good weather only and at a maximum speed of 54 km/h
fly 50 m away from urban places, including streets, congested and crowded areas, other individuals and respect individual's privacy.
do not drop, carry or tow anything with your drone.
fly away from air show, drone formations are not permitted.
🚨 You will need an explicit permission from the land owner before taking any pictures or videos with your drone. Personal privacy and inviolability of private property is warranted and protected by the Georgian law
🚨 You will need to be over 14 years old to operate a drone alone. Under-age pilots, will need to be under the supervision of an adult.
✅ If your drone weights less than 250 g or that you fly a heavier drone exclusively indoors, then none of the above rules apply.
✅ Georgian authorities seem really open to drones and if you need to fly within a restricted space or outside the rules, you will need to ask for permission by contacting UAS-GA@gcaa.ge
What do I risk for flying a drone for recreational use illegally in Georgia?
🚨 The amount & scope of the fine will depend on the nature & severity of your infraction. The judges will also evaluate if you intentionally committed the infraction &/or if you had any commercial purpose during your flight.
