Now that just happened...
Currently travelling in Croatia, getting all excited about getting the Mavic up there & before you know it.. A gust of wind coming from the seaside pushed my drone into the only tall tree of the cliff.
Thankfully this last one wasn't too far from me, but seeing the drone picking a fight against a fir tree is never a good experience. The result was quite unexpected as despite my Mavic breaking its 4 propellers, it didn't had any other scratch. My biggest concern was the gimbal but it seemed intact as well.
So aside from the obvious, I was all about how to get it back up there to check if it had any other damage. Thankfully, I travel with 8 spare propellers (that I stored since I upgraded to the new version ones), you've read me, 8! Using 50% of my stock supply & a re-calibration later, it was good as new flying in Croatian skies 🤐.
In 1000+ flights, this is my second serious issue (1st one being another fight we lost but with an olive tree by then 🏺). So guys (& girls), I can only recommend you to have spare propellers with you when travelling as if like me, you're often off the beaten path.. you will thank yourself in such situations.
