Drones in Australia

Parks Victoria provided me with a list of 27 Regional Parks managed by them where no restrictions, other than CASA regulations apply. There are many more regional parks that are managed by local authorities. I was recently assured that progress is being made on regulations which will facilitate recreational drone flying in a broader number of parks across the state. I recently wrote to CASA requesting consideration to reclassifying quadcopter drones as multi rotor camera drones. I dont think its reasonable to classify MRCDs alongside helicopters, fixed wing aerolanes, balloons and rockets which do not share the same purpose, the technology or the safety features. Their current rules single out FPV drones, so why not camera drones?

If you support this idea, please make your opinions felt by contacting CASA.
